Faux Chalkboard Card

by | Mar 11, 2013

What a hectic couple of weeks that has been!! With a craft fair and my Crafternoon Cafe hardly had time to sleep, so sorry that the blog has been neglected again, but I have been meeting lots of new people and sharing my love of Stampin’ Up! even more, so hello to all of you.

Today I have a card that uses a technique showed to me by my Stampin’ Up upline Victoria and you can see a video tutorial on her blog showing this faux chalkboard technique. It’s so simple to do, but so effective, and so on trend right now.

The focus of the card is a sentiment from the “almost gone” Sale-A-Bration stamp set Vintage Verses. You can still earn this set for FREE with a purchase of £45 on Stampin’ Up! products with me, but you need to hurry as the promotion ends on 22nd March!

I layered up my faux chalkboard onto a piece of Whisper White and then onto my Real Red card base. A simple embellishment of the 1/8″ Taffeta Real Red ribbon to complete the card.
Isn’t such a great technique – so thanks for sharing Victoria!
The thing I love most about being a demo is all the sharing we do – with our customers, our friends and each other. By joining my team of Stampin’ Senoritas you too would benefit from all the sharing from within our Stampin’ Up! family. Now is also a perfect time with the super duper starter kit offer on during Saleb-a-bration and what’s more I have more to offer the next 3 to join my team of Stampin’ Senoritas!
If you want more information on this please email at stampindelight@live.co.uk or call me on 07738 562724
Hasta la próxima / until next time
