Stampin' Up! Pop of Paradise

Hello and welcome to the June edition of the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop. You’re here with Louise Sims so hola! We have another new edition to the line up this month, and it’s a lovely demo from across the water …. the Irish Sea that is …  and it’s the fab Gina from Emerald Kreations, so be sure to stop by and say hello.  After you’ve seen what I’ve come up with you can continue hopping by using the next button at the end of this post.

Today we are all sharing projects that showcase how Stampin’ Up! always seem to be on trend, whether it’s the tones of our new in colours, or the imagery in our stamp sets, by creating projects inspired by items we may have seen in the media, in stores and in current fashion trends. I don’t know how Stampin’ Up! do it, considering they plan catalogues over a year ahead, but yet again this year they have hit the flamingo on the head! Yes … flamingoes are everywhere and they’re in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue!

#ifoundaflamingo

After starting a little #ifoundaflamingo search with my customers, I was sent lots of pictures by my customers and team (as shown above) and it inspired me to create a range of projects with the Pop of Paradise Stamp Set.

Stampin' Up! Pop of Paradise

The Pop of Paradise stamp set is part of the Pop of Pink product suite (Page 84 in the catalogue) so I teamed it with the fabulous Speciality Designer Paper Stack and went with the colour combination of Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Whisper White and a touch of gold!

The cool flamingo looks good in it’s natural pink or as a silhouette in Basic Black,  and with a couple of useful sentiments included in this stamp set it makes it easy to create a range of projects.  This duo of cards and an exploding box are part of the projects I’ve designed for a Summer Retreat Day – I’ll be back tomorrow with more details of that for anyone that might be interested.

So thanks for visiting, your next stop is the lovely Coastal Crafter, aka Emma Goddard. Click on the button to head on over and see what lovely project she has come up with and what has inspired her.

A great idea to lay banner across flamingo’s legs – they really are a pain to cut the fiddly bits! Very smart card.
