I know, I know, …. I disappeared again. My blogging has been so haphazard this year but I am determined to turn over a new leaf in 2012 so hope you keep coming back to see what I’m up to. I may not have been blogging, but I have been doing lots of crafting and over what remains of 2011 I hope to share with you some of my creations.
Here’s the main project that has been keeping me busy. A wedding invitation order for a lovely bride due to have their wedding in March 2012. The theme was green and shamrock – well she is Irish and getting married on St Patrick’s Day. The green card and stamps are all Stampin’ Up as it is perfect for wedding invites allowing you to have complete colour coordination.
We opted for a pocket fold envelope so we could include an insert with information regarding the day. The information included a cute poem or “limerick” regarding the gift list. The outside featured the flourish design from Wedding Sweet and using the Stamp-a-ma-jig we stamped it twice so it shows as the invite opens.
The flourish is finished with pale pink gems (non Stampin’ Up!) to tie in with the wedding theme. The cute shamrock is from a previous Sale-a-bration stamp set.
The bride seemed very happy with the invitations and now it’s time to prepare the evening only invites with a much simpler design but in keeping with the theme.
Hasta luego,
