Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays!

by | Feb 13, 2012

Evening all, hope you’re all good. We’ve had a lovely weekend away at friends, a really relaxing time just chilling out. There was also a surprise birthday party for Grace, not even I knew anything about it! It was  fab with cake and balloons, and curry and cocktails …. just what every 1 year old should have for a birthday party!

We have a really busy week this week, 3 days work, a visit to the new childminders and a birthday trip to the zoo followed by a tea party, and that’s all before next weekend.

I also have a zillion other birthdays this week …. and I mean a lot! So this week I will be posting lots of inspiring ideas for birthday cards. Here’s the first.

It’s my Grandma’s birthday on Wednesday and I know I’m safe to post this as I’m sure she’s not even aware of my blog … or indeed the internet!

I used the Everyday Enchantment papers, well they were on my desk from this card and they are so lovely! This time the Fresh Vintage stamp set from Sale-a-bration was matched with the papers … see it’s the same floral design?

I used Pool Party as a base layer and distressed the edges with my Cutter tool. I then stamped the main image on Very Vanilla with Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral and distressed the edges too. Finished off with some Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon which is so yummy and a couple of metallic brads.

Both parts of the sentiment are from the very well used For My Family stamp set. It’s just perfect to add those family member names to personalise the card.
Come back tomorrow and I’ll be sharing the card I made from Grace to Grandma where this stamp set gets another outing.
Hasta la próxima / until next time
