CAS Outlined

by | Mar 22, 2012

Phew! What a busy day I’ve had today. A day out on site visits to Matlock, Buxton and then Chesterfield, and whilst it was quite sunny it was a bit fresh too. Nice for a lovely drive through the wonderful countryside.

I have another card using a Sale-a-bration set to share with you. This one is using the Outlined Occasions set and I went for a CAS look (clean and simple).
On a layer of Crumb cake I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and then embossed with White embossing powder, before masking off a strip and sponging in Pacific Point.
I then added a touch of definition to the word by colouring in the letter with my Pacific Point marker and finished off with the small sentiment stamped below.
No ribbon or bling, but I liked the effect so much that I did it in another 3 colours.
I opted for Perfect Plum, Wild Wasabi and Rose Red. Not sure which is my favourite to be honest!
This is such a simple design, but really effective …. perfect for making lots of them. And I need a lot of thank you cards so that’s good.
Its also perfect timing to enter the challenge at Less is More which is “masking” this week.
Hasta la próxima / until next time
Louise x

This is lovely Louise… I love your emboss resist within the masked strips.
I use my duster brushes with any SU inks any Distress inks or Adirondack inks… they’re quite good with inks that are slower drying so that you can move them around a little. I love them!
    Thanks so much
