Cupcake Bakery

by | Apr 26, 2012

I’m back with another cupcake creation as I had a special little girl’s birthday card to make … my gorgeous goddaughter! I’ve seen this Bakery style of card in blogland for some time and never got round to making one,  so what better excuse.

The awning is created using the word window punch and is so simple to do. I love the 3D effect it gives the card.

I then created 3 cupcakes in my new favourite colour combo of Rose Red, Crumb Cake and Pink Pirouette. This stamp set is so versatile that the cupcakes can be different every time.

I used my favourite embossing folder of the moment – Square Lattice – to create the Bakery wall and topped it off with some Organza ribbon and a sentiment layered up on the Decorative Label punch.

I stamped a cupcake inside and added the Happy Birthday sentiment from the stamp set.

Hopefully my goddaughter will like it as much as me. I tend to buy her crafty items for her birthday as she loves making things .. so far she’s had beads, jewellry and card making kits … what to get this time?
I’ll be back soon with more creations, so do come back.
Hasta la próxima / until next time
Louise x

Louise, this is fab! I just ordered the cupcake stamp & punch sets before the Spring mini finished so I may have to CASE this one. I’m always using the word punch so this is another great use for it. Thanks for sharing x

May I ask what the dimensions are of your card? I have just ordered some SU! products and am just beginning to dabble in the art of handmade cards! Beautiful job on this card, so much time and love poured into it!
