Today I have another card to show you from my Every Occasions class which features the Bird punch again, but not in the way you might think. This card was designed for those occasions you don’t want to come across but are often needed – Sympathy or Get Well. For each card I gave the ladies options to what type of card they could make and showed them different designs for each one.
I’ve used the wings of the birds to create some tulips to enable you to make the most of the fab punch.
The tulips are so simple to create. I punched three wings in So Saffron cardstock, daubed the edges with some ink and then positioned them and glued together. Then I created some handcut stems with Wild Wasabi cardstock and added definition with the matching marker pen by drawing a line down one side.
The basket was created by embossing a piece of Soft Suede cardstock with the Stripes embossing folder first at 90 degrees then at 180 degrees to create a weave like effect.
All elements were then positioned on the base of Very Vanilla and the chosen sentiment added. I added a strip of the Just Add Cake designer paper which was used for most of the cards in the class to brighten up the Get Well card option. The sentiments were from Petite Pairs and Teeny Tiny Wishes.
Before I go, just thought I’d share something that made me smile today. The craft room doubles as an office, ironing room, playroom and chill out room so I am often joined by Little Miss Chief. Here she is getting to grips with the Big shot …. SU demo of the future I think?!
Hasta la próxima / until next time
