My third post which showcases the fabulous Designer Papers and the Simply Scored tool and this might be favourite project yet. With the new Autumn Winter Catalogue just out my thoughts turned to Christmas and I set to work creating a wreath made up of paper rosettes as inspired by Stampin Up!
I chose a colour combination of Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Real Red to complement my home decor and them set to work creating a number of rosettes with the Designer Paper stacks. This is so simple to do with the Simply Scored as you can score a full 12″x12″ sheet of paper or card and then divide it into 1″ strips to create the various rosettes.
To make the wreath I created a chipboard ring which I cut out from the packaging we get from Stampin’ Up! (waste not, want not!) and then wrapped in Real Red Satin ribbon, with enough extra to use as my method of hanging. The Satin Ribbon is retiring so don’t forget to order your reels before they’re gone!
Then I layered up the rosettes and adhered to the chipboard ring using a few buttons and brads to embellish.
So that’s one of my handcrafted Christmas projects done. Keep checking back here as I share more ideas for a fab handmade Festive season!
Hasta la próxima / until next time
