Soda Pop Tops

by | Feb 20, 2013

I’m back today with a card featuring some new products from the Spring Summer seasonal catalogue. If you haven’t got your hands on a copy, and you live in the UK, please do drop me a line and I’ll pop one in the post to you.
I wanted to use some of the new embellishments from the catalogue and in particular the new Soda Pop tops which are like old bottle tops and come in a pack of 16, 8 each of 2 sizes, for just £3.75. They co-ordinate perfectly with the 2.5cm and 1.3cm punches.
For the card I co-ordinated them with the Collage Curios stamp set which has images which sit perfectly in the soda pop tops! I stamped the three images in a colour combination of Summer Starfruit, Island Indigo and Sahara Sand and punched it out before adhereing in the “flattened” Soda pop top.
The layout of the card was kept simple to focus on the embellishment with a simple stamped background in Sahara Ink of the butterfly from Collage Curios.

I love stamping on the same colour card with the matching ink to get that coordinated but subtle look. A couple of banners of the Sycamore Street Designer papers added  – these are available free with every £45 order as part of Sale-a-bration.
I also added a strip of the new Natural trim ribbon for a subtle earthy feel. So what do you think?
