Blimey we are racing through February so quickly that I thought I best share some Valentines cards that we made at the Love and Thanks class last month before it’s too late!

The class focused on using Vellum on your projects and I have to share today how I was so pleased when I visited one of my lovely ladies who comes to class and she was showing me her recent makes using these techniques!! That’s how to make a Stampin’ Up! demonstrators day – thanks Janet!

This card was inspired by one I pinned on Pinterest (gotta love that site for inspiration!) but I adapted it to suit the rest of the class. The card base is one of the gorgeous In colours for this year, Raspberry Ripple, and is layered with two layers of Crumb Cake.  The bottom layer is created by using the very apt stamp set for this time of year You are Loved. I stamped the large heart stamp 3 times on the edge of the card in Raspberry Ripple ink and then created windows in the top layer with the Full Heart punch.

I added a little faux stitching with a Raspberry Ripple marker. I then added the sentiment on a layer of Vellum. The sentiment is from You are Loved too and was stamped in Stazon to ensure it wouldn’t smudge. I then trimmed it and created the round end using a template from the 1 3/8″ circle punch. A little secret glue sticking to keep the Vellum in place and done.
