Papillion Potpurri Twisted Easel

by | May 15, 2013

Hello, in an attempt to bring back spring I thought I’d share a bright and cheery make that I have been sharing with my hostesses this month and their guests. I love doing Stampin’ Up parties as whether it’s a room full of crafters, or a gathering of friends, we always have fun and everyone enjoys making something themselves.

This month I have been sharing how to make a twisted easel card, which is so easy to do but looks very effective. I have been using the Papillion Potpurri set which I adore with it’s detailed butterfly images and matching punch. I love the ability to stamp and punch!

The small butterflies are stamped randomly across the card before popping on a few punched out larger butterflies for added dimension. I then added some Basic Rhinestones to the larger butterflies – well everybody needs a bit of bling!

This card uses a colour combination of Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry  – so very girly and very summery (are you listening weather!?!) I love being able to add matching ribbon to my projects and this Melon Mambo Spotted Scallop ribbon is one of my favourites.

Lastly to ensure the Easel sits right I added a stopper. This features a sentiment from Fabulous Phrases – my new favourite sentiment set! – which was stamped and then punched out with the Large Oval Punch and layered onto a Scalloped Oval of Rich Razzleberry. I popped this in position with some Dimensionals so the Easel stays in place. So that’s my summery inspiration for today and I hope the weather follows in my footsteps!

If you would like to learn some new techniques and a fun evening in with your friends, why not book a party? As the hostess you can earn free product based on the party order. There is more information here.
