Evening all, wow what a up and down weekend I’ve had! Yesterday was an absolutely fantastic day at Stampin’ Up! Regional training in Telford where myself, my teamies and lots of other demo’s attended a day filled with business tips, crafting techniques and peeks at some very exciting things heading our way. It was great to spend a day with my team and if this sounds like something you’re interested in check out the Join Stampin’ Up page.
Today was a day catching up on housework, well 6 hours of ironing to be precise … what a downer that was! So just got time to pop on here with the first of many craft projects I have made recently, before it’s Little Miss Chief’s bedtime.
This card was my first play (shame on me!) with the gorgeous honeycomb embossing folder. The hexagonal design is so on trend at the moment. I kept it simple to showcase the embossed card.
I punched out one small heart from the bottom row of honeycomb to show the Real Red card underneath before adding a couple of Real Red hearts further up. Lastly added a sentiment using the Curly Cute sentiment set. This sentiment is actually one long stamp, but with the use of my Basic Black marker and the stamp-a-ma-jig I created the stepped version.
Lastly a bit of Real Red Stitched Grosgrain ribbon to finish it off. Such a simple card would just not work without Stampin’ Up!’s colour coordination. Just love it!
So off to do some preparation this evening for next weeks class. You can see the details here on Facebook. If you’re quick and able to get to Rugeley, Staffordshire next Saturday, you could reserve yourself a place!
Hasta luego / be back soon
