The Owl Punch in disguise! Holy Moly Batman!

by | Aug 11, 2013

So in amongst all the wedding preparation I had a special birthday card to make which was filled with challenges.

1. A card for a man

2. Batman as the theme.

3. Must be better than a previous Batman card I made otherwise I’d be in trouble seen as this one is for my now Brother in Law!

I had an idea from a card I had pinned on my number one source of inspiration in times of need – Pinterest! (You can follow my boards here),  but it wasn’t quite right so I took the idea and created this.

Owl Builder Punch Batman Robin Joker Two Face

The Owl Builder punch was used to create each character together with a bit of clever cutting and sticking.  I added a printed logo for both Batman and Robin to complete the look and the capes were created with the Oval punch and a bit of zigzag snipping!

Each character was added onto a square of Perfect Polka Dots embossed card, and raised onto dimensionals for added texture. I didn’t add a sentiment on the front as I think this card will probably be framed and turned into a piece of art for this batman fan’s house. And if you’re thinking surely not …. then check out the recipient of this card on his wedding day this weekend!

So after an amazing weekend, I’m off as I’m past shattered.

Be back soon / hasta pronto
