Loving Lovely As a Tree!

by | Oct 14, 2013

Evening, back after a weekend off. Yep had a whole weekend off …. doing about a month’s worth of ironing, the housework and boxing up a load of Grace’s summer clothes … does that sound like a weekend off? Nope didn’t think so! Ha Ha!

Back with another card from a recent class which features that newly discovered stamp set of mine … Lovely as a Tree. Here I showed my ladies how to add depth to the image with a nifty watercolour technique.

Lovely as a Tree Watercolour Christmas (4)

The frame for the image was created with the Apothecary Framelits. This was another card with the colour combination of Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla – a very classic and traditional festive combination.

The antique brad and Cherry Cobbler seam binding bow gives it a elegant feel.

With a dark coloured card base a coordinated insert is required and here we reflect the focal image too together with one of the fabulous sentiments from my well kept More Merry Messages from last years Seasonal which features on the Christmas Carryover list.

Perfect positioning was achieved with my can’t live without it tool – the Stamp-a-ma-jig!
