I’m almost ashamed to blog again, it’s been that long, but November has been a crazy month. My technological nightmare sent me into a spin, then I was away for a few days for some much needed family time in the Lake District, and then before I knew it, it was time for my monthly technique class, followed swiftly by the long awaited Stampin’ Up! European Convention, and I had a bit to prepare for that but more of that later.
This year was my first time attending Convention so I was super excited. We were off to the Manchester Central Convention Centre for two full days, and I was looking forward to the inspiration, spending time with other demonstrators and learning a thing or two.
I was also lucky enough to have earned attendance to the Silver 2 reception on the Thursday evening. Silver 2 is a step on the career plan with Stampin’ Up! and I am fortunate to have achieved this during the last year thanks to my awesome team of Stampin’ Senoritas and my fabulous customers.
The reception was a lovely chance to meet some of the other top demonstrators from the UK, France, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. We were treated to a lovely evening of mocktails, food and entertainment. Here’s me and my upline Victoria enjoying some time together …. it was great to spend 2 whole days with her as we roomied together too!
Stampin’ Up! always know how to party and how to decorate a room – here’s the gorgeous centre pieces for the tables.
We also received our convention bag, filled with our stamp sets, Make and take kits and as a special gift for us all at the reception we got a Stampin’ Up! filofax and Parker pen – perfect to get me organised for the year ahead!
Friday saw the start of the 2 days of Convention and now I can finally reveal another reason why I have been awol from the blog and busy behind the scenes ….. I was asked to do a main stage presentation at Convention!! I know, scary or what!! Here I am entering the stage after being introduced by Sara Douglass (Shelli Gardner’s daughter!).
Here I am showing off the technique which was rainbow embossing … more of that another day. I was lucky to have some of my team there to support me which was great too.
I was filmed so all the 800 attendee’s could see on the big screens. Here I am showing off one of the samples using this technique.
Once the nerves had been overcome, I enjoyed my time on stage and loved the recognition and feedback I received during the next 2 days from other demonstrators and many members of the Stampin’ Up! staff. It really is a great company to work for. If you want information on how you could join us next year, click here to read some information or email me for further details on how to become a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.
Hasta luego / see you later
Louise
