A little bit late in sharing my Valentines make but I was so chuffed with it I couldn’t not share! It was my first time at the card in a box craze that is sweeping across the blogs. What do you think?

I used a traditional Valentines colour combintaion of Real Red and Basic Black with a little sparkle of Champagne Glimmer paper to add some pizzazz! I used a variety of stamp sets as I searched my collection for all things hearts and love! They include Hearts a Flutter, That’s the Ticket from the annual catalogue and the newly launched Perfect Pennants and Language of Love from the Spring Seasonal catalogue.

I used the spotty paper from the Brights Colour Collection Designer Paper stack, which are great to use when you have a particular colour theme in mind and then used various punches and framelits to cut out all my decorations including Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Full Heart punch and Small Heart punch. Sadly the “love” which appears on the back of the box is now retired.

Finally even the underside of the box had some love! The great thing about these cards is that they fold flat to fit into a standard size envelope too.

They can be created for all manner of occasions and themes and with that in mind, we will be creating a different version of these in my next class
