Peppa Pig Punch Birthday

by | Feb 24, 2014

It’s my day off today and I love spending some quality time with Little Miss Chief. These next few months, these days will become even more special as the due date for Baby Sims 2 draws closer. Today we have planned some baking, some playing and visit to the library for Storytime.

Last weekend LMC turned 3 (and no, I have no idea where the years have gone!) and I decided I wanted to make a card featuring one of her favourite characters. So here is my punch art version of Peppa Pig.

Stampin' Up! Peppa Pig Punch Art Child Birthday

I used a variety of punches including 2 1/2″ Circle, Owl Builder, 1″ Circle, Small Oval, 1 3/8″ Circle, and 1/2″ Circle and a collection of piggy colours of Pink Pirouette, Real Red and Blushing Bride.

I placed my punched out piggy on a Wild Wasabi hill and added LMC’s name die cut with the Typeset Alphabet Bigz die – I love using this to create personalised cards and gifts. The spotty sky was created with the Brights Colour Collection Designer Paper Stacks and layered up onto a 8″ square card base in Daffodil Delight.

The last addition to the card was a trio of punch art balloons in Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Pacific Point created with the Owl Builder and the Extra Large Oval, all held by the piggy using some Whisper White Bakers Twine. The Typset Alphabet also includes numbers so I picked the relevant number and die cut it in Silver Glimmer Paper to finish the card off.

I’m happy to say the birthday girl approved of it!
