Sorry I’m a bit late posting here today but it’s been a full on day at work, combined with doctor and dentist appointments and then the obligatory trip to Slimming World, but I’m now here and ready to share another make with the Petal Parade stamp set.
I decided to stamp the various flower images in Versamark onto some Whisper White cardstock and emboss with the Clear Embossing powder. As I posted on my Facebook Page for Tuesday’s Tip, it’s a good idea to use the Embossing buddy to prevent extra powder sticking to your project as it’s anti-static nature ensures a clean finish.
Once the embossing powder has been heated and set I set to work with the Stamping Sponges and a collection of pinks – Rose Red, Strawberry Slush and Pink Pirouette, working with the darkest one at the bottom and slowly fading the colour upwards. I then added some extra petals stamped in the pink inks.
The fading is actually really pretty in real life, sadly these photos don’t do it justice, but it’s the best I could do in my hectic day and with fading daylight!.
Finally I created a couple of banners, one in the gorgeous Silver Glimmer Paper, to add a bit of sparkle and one stamped with my sentiment from the fab Happy Day stamp set (wood /clear). I finished off the card with a button from the Brights Collection and a bit of the gorgeous Silver 1/8″ ribbon which has thankfully made it into the Spring Seasonal catalogue.
