Good morning and welcome to Part 3 of my Ombre Odyssey. I hope you’ve been enjoying it?
I’ve just got back from a little break away with the family. We spent a lovely week on the island of Anglesey, exploring castles, walking on the beach, and generally having a nice family holiday. Today’s card is a nod to all the shades of blue the sea we saw as we looked out over the Menai Straits.
STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS
- The ombre effect was created by taking 2″ strips of card and cutting into it with the fab new Fringe Scissors. The colours used are Soft Sky, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo.
- I topped off the layers of ombre fringing with a panel of Soft Sky card which has been stamped by one of the linear patterns from Mosaic Madness and added a strip of the gorgeous 1/8″ Silver Ribbon. Small enough not to dominate the card and sparkly enough to add a bit of bling.
- The card base was made from a 10.5 x 30 cm piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock, with a Whisper White panel adhered to the front.
- I finished off with this useful sentiment from Sweet Essentials.
I think this might be my favourite so far of all the Ombre Effect cards. I loved using those Fringe scissors too and will be showing other things you can do with them at my Papercraft Class this month. You can see the details here.
Hasta luego / see you later
