Hello, how was your weekend? Mine was, as predicted, a flurry of sorting out bits for the nursery. After 7 boxes of baby clothes, which was a bit of a trip down memory lane, I think we are almost there.

I did manage to squeeze in some late night crafting, and posted a few sneak peeks on my Facebook page – that’s the best way of seeing what I’m up to on a daily basis, so feel free to pop on over – some of which I will share here over the next few days.

Today’s card is one I made a couple of weeks ago for my sister for her Birthday. It’s another 5 x 7″ gatefold – think this is the card that kickstarted my mini obsession with this format! (for other cards see here and here.)

STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS

• The card base was made in Basic Black cardstock and I opted for the musical Designer Series paper from the Modern Medley collection – a great choice for all music lovers out there. One side was trimmed with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.
• The closure was a simple square cut with the Stampin’ Trimmer, with the Coastal Cabana ruffle stretch ribbon used to tie the card together. (It is sadly already sold out in Coastal Cabana – but the other 4 In Colours are available.)

• The closure was decorated with a trio of flowers from one of my favourite floral stamp sets – Flower Shop and snappily punched out with the coordinating Pansy Punch. If this is still on your hit list – then I’d suggest buying it before the end of the month to save 15% on the bundle.
• The centre of each flower is created with a fab new punch that comes part of the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack – that was one of the first on my list of “have-to-haves” from the new catalogue!! Just wait till you see!
•  The leaves are added with the Bird Builder Punch and the flowers finished off with a bit of bling.

• A little bit of stamping inside with the appropriate word from Amazing Family. Will miss this stamp set for all it’s useful words.

• The sentiment on the front is from a very useful set Remembering Your Birthday which is set to stay for the next year, and fills one of the gorgeous stamps from Four Frames which coordinates with the Decorative Label punch.
