Scrapbooking has been something that has not only appealed to me ever since I became a mum 3 and half years ago but also alluded me with the hectic schedule of a full time job, being a mum and running my Stampin’ Up business. I have only dreamed of the day when I can start to scrapbook my collection of photographs.
Then along came Project Life to answer my problems! It really does offer a quick and effective way of documenting those memories, yet offering a creative way of adding something to the photo’s above a regular photo album.
Earlier this month we scheduled a family day out … probably our last one just the 3 of us! Grace wanted to go to the Sealife centre and we had a fab day. So what better time to give Project Life a whirl!
STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS
- After printing off my collection of photo’s from the day I was ready to get started. I used both the Everyday Adventure Card Collection and the coordinating Accessory Pack and selected only cards with the colours Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz and a hint of Pumpkin Pie, to create a coordinated look with my “blue” adventure!
- Within the pack of Pocket pages there are 6 different layouts so you can select one to fit with the photo’s you are using – like this one to feature 3 portrait photo’s.
- The accessory pack offers a quick solution to customising your title card – there are two sets of alphabet stickers to create with.
- There are lots of different style cards for adding your journalling and with two Project Life Journalling pens. Here I jazzed one up with some Stamped stars from the Project Life Point & Click Photopolymer Stamp Set.
- The Project Life products all come in Stampin’ Up colours so you can always create your own pockets like the one above featuring a collection of circle punches in coordinating cardstock and topped off with one of the stickers from the Accessory Pack.
- The Everyday Adventure Project Life Accessory Pack also comes with Washi tape – perfect for adding a border to my penguin picture.
I have used a collection of punches, stamps and framelits to jazz up a few of the pockets, but you can easily just use the collections to complete the pages.
Making these two pages was really enjoyable and it was also lovely to sit with Grace the next day and talk over each photo and the journalling – she loved looking at them!
So Project Life is definitely my way forward …. do you think it will help you document those memories?
