Something for Baby … or Daddy?

by | Jun 19, 2014

Up early this morning, don’t think my body is used to early nights, but I just couldn’t summon up the energy to do anything last night so I headed to bed early. It’s quite nice to get up and have a quiet hour in the morning before the rest of the family disturbs though.

Plus it gives me chance to pop along and share another card I made for Father’s Day, which has a sneak peek at a new product! Ooh-err!!

Soho Subway Ties Fathers Day (1)

STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS

  • I made a 5″ x 7″ gatefold card in Early Espresso cardstock as I like doing larger style cards for friends and family.

Soho Subway Ties Fathers Day (3)

  • I added texture to the cardbase by using the Simply Scored and scoring every 1/8″ – almost makes it feel like corrugated cardboard, so very masculine!
  • The Soho Subway papers which are retiring this month, were used for background layer and embellishment, as they have some great manly designs.
  • The ties are die cut using a new product from the 2014-2015 catalogue – its the Something for Baby framelits! With a baby on the way and lots of friends having babies too, this was top of my list!  The set includes all you need for new baby projects – pram, rattle, booties – and I thought the tie would be great for Fathers Day cards.

  • The closure for the gatefold was created with another die cut – one of the Apothecary Accent framelits. I added the wording from the Amazing Family Stamp set and a simple embellishment of one of the Naturals Designer Buttons.

  • Finally a little bit of stamping on the inside with the Something for Baby stamp set and a sentiment added from the “ever-so useful and glad it’s staying” Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Retiring Products – last chance to buy these products:

  • Amazing Family Stamp set – wood mount 30% off, reduced from £22.95 to £16.07, clear mount available £17.95
  • Soho Subway Designer Series Papers – 40% off, now £5.97
  • Naturals Designer Buttons – £4.50

This was for my dad, so hopefully he liked it and you do too? If you have any questions on any of the makes I share, please do get in touch … nothing brightens my day up more than knowing someone out there is reading!
Hasta luego / see you later

Louise

Hi Lou – my favourite pregnant lady of the year! I love the way you made the corrugated card – another tool gets added to my wish list! I’m glad your Dad liked it too! Photos don’t do the yellow paper any favours – it’s much nicer and brighter in real life! I also want the Amazing Family stamp set now! Thanks Lou! 🙂 xXx
