So, still waiting on Baby Sims to make an arrival and in this heat it’s not fun. Tried a hot curry last night, but no signs as yet! But whilst I’m waiting I thought I’d pop by and share with you my first ever Teacher thank you cards – yep, my Little Miss Chief graduated from pre-school last week!
STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS
- I created the easel using the Hardwood background stamp with Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake cardstock. The various strips were cut with my Stampin’ Trimmer and the rounded ends were achieved with the new Project Life corner rounder punch.
- A chalkboard look is easily achieved by heat embossing white Stampin’ emboss powder on Basic Black Cardstock, with the cute sentiment from Chalk Talk stamp set.
- I created a little owl to sit on the top of the easel with the wings added by using a scallop circle punch, and a bright spotty top from the Brights Designer Paper Stack – a great way of using up those scraps we save!
- The bright card base is created by using Bermuda Bay cardstock and adding a little texture with the Polka Dot Embossing folder.
Little Miss Chief has settled really well at the school and she is looking forward to going back in September to Nursery and that’s all thanks to the fantastic staff. Hopefully they all liked their cards.
