Feeling Blue!

by | Aug 19, 2014

My house has turned slowly blue since the arrival of Master Sims, as we have been lucky to receive an absolute plethora of cards from friends, family, colleagues, customers and Stampin’ Up! teamies. With that in mind when I went to create something in the Casa de Craft, I somehow ended up selecting a quartet of blues. Come see how it turned out!

Chalk Lines Background (1)

STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS

  • The 4 colour background is created with one of the stamps from Chalk Lines, a new addition this year to the Annual Catalogue. The effect was simple to achieve, no stamp-a-ma-jig required, as this set is one of the new Photopolymer sets so it is clear and you can see exactly where you are stamping! Brilliant!
  • With such a busy background I opted for a simple embellishment of a wrap around tag created with the Scallop Tag punch in Whisper White cardstock, with the tags tied together with some of the new gorgeous Marina Mist Cotton Ribbon.

  • The sentiment is from a stamp set I seem to be going to use lots of the time, Perfect Pennants. I stamped it in Pacific Point onto the tag, and then stamped it again in Tempting Turquoise onto scrap cardstock before punching out the “a” with the 1/2″ Circle Punch and layering it on top with a Stampin Dimensional. Perfect little touch!
  • Finally to add a little sparkle, I punched out some stars in Glimmer Paper with the cute little star punch from Itty Bitty Accents.

So what do you think? Are you feeling the blue? I think I might make this is a few other colours now as it’s such a fun card to make … what colour shall I do next ?

Hasta luego / see you later
