There are often times when we need a card in a hurry and the beauty of Stampin’ Up!, and in fact the main reason why I fell in love with their products, is that it is easy to throw a good looking card together with coordinating paper, ink and cardstock, and that is exactly how today’s card came about.
A busy day with doctors appointments, dirty nappies and feeding led me to have little time to create an anniversary card for Mr Stampin’ Senorita, and this is what I came up with in a matter of minutes.
STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS
- The new Kraft 12×12 Cardstock formed the base and with such a lovely quality feel to it, it’s perfect for quick cards as needs minimal layers and embellishment. I can see me using this a lot!
- A simple strip of Designer Series paper from the Brights Designer Paper Series stack forms a grounding to the left of the card, whilst a Real Red square of cardstock forms a central panel. A few simple cuts with the Stampin’ Trimmer and I was done.
- The Just Sayin stamp set combined with the matching Word Bubble framelits soon gave me a design for my card, using a mixture of Kraft Cardstock, Vellum and Whisper White.
- Finally a trio of hearts to balance the card out, punched with the Itty Bitty Accents pack.
So there’s my quick card and it was made, written and waiting for when Mr Stampin’ Senorita walked in the house. Are you a last minute crafter? What are your tips for making those quick creations?
Hasta luego / see you later
