The season of giving is just around the corner and with that in mind, I thought of creating a wallet to house a collection of handmade cards – perfect for some of my non-crafting friends. I began with casing the design from one of the fabulous creations in the catalogue. If ever you’re stuck for inspiration, the Stampin’ Up! catalogues are a great resource of ideas – if you don’t have your own copy then you can see how to get one here.
STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS
- The cards feature a single tree that has been stamped in Pistachio Pudding and Cherry Cobbler and punched out with the coordinating punch. I fussy cut an Early Espresso pot for it to stand in. Layered up onto Dimensionals it stands proud with a snazzy ribbon banner to provide a textural backdrop. A simple adornment of a Crushed Curry star and a linen thread bow finishes it off. This clean and simple design would be great to mass produce for your festive cards don’t you think … clever Stampin’ Up!
- I added some Stampin’ Up! White envelopes to the wallet which have been decorated with a Early Espresso tree stamped in the corner. I love to decorate the envelopes in a coordinating way …. but often forget to take a picture!
- The wallet continues in the same colour combination using the Decorative Label and coordinating Four Frames stamp set to create a feature on the Cherry Cobbler pockets. The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch adds some decoration without the bulk of a traditional ribbon.
- A scattering of the Frosted Sequins finished off the embellishments and adds a touch of festive sparkle.
Both of the Stamp Sets used in this project come in cost saving bundles where you can get the stamps and matching punch for 15% less than catalogue price – see below for the links to the various options.
I’m currently having time with my family as I explained before. Read about it here and you can enter for my Stamp Set giveaway.
Hasta luego / see you later
