When you can create things I think you always look to creating your own of everything and with a 4th Birthday party to plan for my daughter, it was no exception. The first task was to create some DIY birthday invitations and with the help of My Digital Studio, they were really simple and quick to create.
STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS
- Grace wanted a theme of Fairys and Pirates so after quick session on pinterest for some ideas, I knew that Stampin’ Up! would not have the stamp images I wanted. The great thing is though, after a look on google I found some clipart images I could use including the cute silhouette fairy from Cocoa Mint , and MDS allows you to import other images and work with them.
- Using MDS allowed me to select colours on my printed invitations that would coordinate with the cardstock I would use – here a splash of Melon Mambo for the “Grace” worked perfectly to tie it all together. Plus it uses all the fonts installed on your computer.
- After trimming my printed image and mounting on Melon Mambo cardstock I added a trio of embossed butterflies created with the Beautiful Wings Embosslits die
MDS really makes designing and printing your own such a simple thing to achieve and by the reaction to the invites from lots of Grace’s friends, they loved receiving something a little different.
So that’s another Digital Domingo post to add to the collection, you can see more ideas with My Digital Studio here.
Hasta luego / see you later
