It’s the last Saturday of the month, which means it is time for the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop crew to take you on an inspirational journey, so settle down with a cuppa and prepare to have a trip around our blogs to see some gorgeous projects. The Stampin’ Creative crew are a happy group of UK Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, and this month we are all having a go at using masking in our projects.
You may have arrived from the fabulous Mikaela at the Crafty Oink Pen. I love Mikaela’s style and this project is super cute. At the bottom of the post you can click on the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop button to hop to your next destination or see a full list of the blogs below.
I have two cards to share with the masking technique card for this month’s theme. I had the Flower Patch stamp set out to play making my customer gifts (watch out for that project here soon!) so decided to create some simple cards using this set and masking.
STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS
- When time is short, creating a simple one layer card is great way to complete something quick and with the masking technique you can add enough interest to give it that wow.Â
- Â I began by stamping the large flower in the centre. I then stamped it again on scrap cardstock and cut it out to create my mask. By placing this over the original image and adding the other flowers and leaves around it you create a layered look of stamping on just one piece of cardstock.
- This card features a combination of Strawberry Slush, Blushing Bride, Rose Red and Pear Pizzazz.
- The second card uses just one of the images from the Flower Patch Stamp Set stamped in a combination of Pool Party and Marina Mist.
- By using the masking technique you overlay the flower images to create this background for the card.
- The flower Patch stamp set also includes a trio of useful sentiments …. I know a few people who would love to receive this one! It is also comes in Photopolymer stamp set
So that’s a couple of quick and simple cards to demonstrate the simplicity that the masking technique can be used for. You can see all the products used at the end of this post – don’t forget Sale-a-bration is on for just 3 more days and you can earn free product with any ÂŁ45 order. Now it’s time to see what the rest of the Stampin’ Creative Crew have created so hop on over to Emily at Stampin’ Mermaid – just click the button and you’ll be on your way.
Please feel free to leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you.
