It’s that time of the month again where I welcome you to the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop. As a regular reader here you might have seen some other posts of this type or you might be on your very first hop … either way welcome! Each month the lovely ladies of the Stampin’ Creative all create a project on a given theme and this month it is an exciting one! With the Autumn Winter catalogue launching in just 3 days, we are offering a Sneak Peek of a whole collection of projects and ideas using brand new product.
So you might have hopped over from our member of royalty – the lovely Pip at Queen Pip’s Cards, who always makes such lovely projects. At the bottom of the post you can click on the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop button to hop to your next destination or see a full list of the blogs below.
So for my sneak peek I am showcasing one of the first items on my must have list for the new catalogue – the gorgeous Embellished Ornaments and and Delicate Ornament Thinlets dies.
STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS
- The beautiful ornament which takes centre stage on the card is die cut using the Delicate Ornament thinlets and Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I added extra wow by adding some gold foil behind the central part and adding a contrasting colour of Always artichoke. There are 8 thinlets in the pack, including the ornament topper.
- The Embellished Ornaments stamp set features 2 gorgeous ornament images (not used here) and this detailed holly image together two lovely sentiments in a fab combo of fonts. The holly stamp was coloured in with Stampin’ Write Markers to get the two colours stamped together.
- A simple bow made with the new cording trim finishes off the card. This is just £4.50 for almost 23m of it – I can see me using lots of this as I get my Christmas gift wrap prepared.
- Event the inside got a little bit of stamping treatment – the perfect way to make a handmade card stand out from the crowd.
- I made a whole collection of these as we decided we combine the hop with a swop. All Stampin’ Up! demonstrators love a swop – great way to gather a collection of different projects and ideas. So hope my fellow Stampin’ Creative gals like my make!
- I also made some gift wrap using the Delicate Ornaments thinlets – combining the other large ornament die from the collection with Gold Foil cardstock and placing over a layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock – simple but very effective and a nice feature to the tag.
- The tag was created with the Ornate Tag Topper punch and features just part of the sentiment from Embellished Ornaments – simple to achieve with the Stampin’ Write markers.
- I added the tag to a Takeout box – these are great to decorate up for gifts and fill with goodies (homebaked or shop bought!) as they are foodsafe and acid free. You get 6 in a pack for just £5.50 so great value too. I decorated mine with a strip of the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper – a gorgeous traditional style pack of papers in the new Autumn Winter catalogue and finished off with a bow in the lovely Gold Satin Ribbon.
You can see all the products used below and Sneak peek products will be available for purchase from the 1st September.

Other Inspiration …
Fabulous ideas and I now have to add this to my list for September x
I was witness to how much cutting you did for your swaps Lou! Like the way you’ve ‘hung’ the bauble on the holly bough, also the way the tags look. But, simple as it may be, the beautiful little package is what’s caught my eye!x
Love both your projects, the holly stamp is gorgeous and looks great as a detail on the inside. The tag on your take-out box is gorgeous too.
So gorgeous and I always am impressed with Always Artichoke use as it is never something I’d reach for, but these makes are fab!
A beautifully elegant card and I love the addition of the Holly stamped on the inside too. I too love the simply embellished gift box … who wouldn’t. A beautiful set Louise … really beautiful xx
