Today’s share is a card I made quite a few weeks ago for a certain someone’s 1st Birthday. I did post some sneak peek photo’s on Facebook and Instagram during the time I was creating it, but today I’m sharing the completed project featuring Cbeebies character Bing, created with Stampin’ Up! punches and framelits.
STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS
For those of you who don’t have small children and haven’t watched a few hundred episodes of Cbeebies programs, here is the character I was trying to recreate!
- When creating images with punch art the best thing to do is look at the item you want to create and break it down into component parts.
- The shape of the head was created with an Ornament framelit, whilst the ears were fashioned with the Bow Builder punch. The eyes were the tricky bit, but the Bird Builder punch and it’s lovely wings came to the rescue for the shape and I used the Owl Builder punch for the pupils.
- The body and legs were created with the large Oval punch and the Word Window punch and to save further headscratching on how to create some legs I opted for a simpler approach of placing Bing behind a brick wall – simple to achieve with the Brick Embossing Folder.
- Finished off the Birthday card with a Balloon also created in punch art with the 1 1/4″ circle punch and the owl Builder.
I’m pleased to say the gorgeous George got just as excited seeing Bing on the card as he got when it comes on the tv!
Hasta luego / see you later
