Hello and welcome to the July edition of the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop and you’re here with Louise Sims. Today we have a whole collection of inspiration with the Project Kits so after you’ve seen what I’ve come up with you can continue hopping by using the next button at the end of this post.
Stampin’ Up! are awesome at creating kits that make crafting simple and easy – perfect for new crafters or for those that want to craft on the go, without taking the whole craft room with you. I always pack one in my holiday bags, just in case I get crafting withdrawal symptoms!
Today I’m sharing how much fun I had with the Oh Happy Day kit – found on page 6 in the catalogue.
This kit provides everything you need – all the cards, embellishments, die cuts, stamps, ink and block – just add some adhesive and a pair of scissors and you’re good to go! It also comes packged in the cute Kraft gift box so makes it perfect to give as a gift.
I had great fun following the included instructions to make the full 20 cards.
I love the bright and summery colour combination and each card has lots of different elements to make sure they wow your friends and family. There are 4 different styles of card in the kit so it’s great fun to make. My top tip if you want to create the cards as they have been designed, is to loosen all the die-cuts and layers and then lay them all out with the corresponding cardbases first before creating any of the cards.
After all 20 cards were complete I had some die cut shapes and bits left over so teamed them up with some Brights Stack Designer Series Paper and the Note Cards and Envelopes to create a couple more cards. Now that is definitely value for money!
Don’t forget to stamp on the envelopes too … adds a nice finishing and personal touch!
Plus of course I still have the included stamp set to use on even more projects. It’s full of fun fonts and sentiments for all occasions so no doubt you’ll be seeing on future projects.
So thanks for visiting today and I hope I’ve shared how much fun the Stampin’ Up! Project Kits are. The next stop is the lovely Sarah Berry at Stamp with Sarah. Just click on the button to head on over and see what lovely project she has come up with and what has inspired her.
Hasta luego / see you later
