Hello and welcome to the this month’s Stampin’ Creative blog hop and this month we are joined by 2 fabulous bloggers as special guests – Charlet at Painted Orange and Sandra from Stamp’n’Studio

Stampin' Creative Blog Hop Guests

Now, on with the hop, whether you regularly visit my blog or have popped over from my super talented friend Caro at Craft With Caro then welcome, come in and see what project I have to share this month. The theme is From the Garden – perfect to give us a little bit of spring in this cold weather we have right now.

Stampin' Creative Blog Hop sharing papercraft projects from the garden.

The theme of “From the Garden” lead me straight up the path to the Petal Passion Designer Series paper, which is a fabulous monochrome set of 12×12 papers in a hand painted watercolour effect. These come with shading etched into the design but once you colour with Stampin’ Blends then the flowers really pop!

After colouring the design I wanted to create a simple sentiment which would stand up to the bold pattern of the papers and opted for a die cut from the Lovely Words Thinlets. These are designed to create windows, but I love how you can use them in different ways – here I just snipped out the word for a simple sentiment to pop onto a simple strip of cardstock.

To Colour or not to Colour?

I had so much fun creating this one, I made another! This one shows that by just colouring a selection of the flowers you can create a simpler more elegant finish. Which way do you prefer?

Here I used another of the Lovely Words Thinlets and used the complete shape, but this time layered on a matching shape. A little bit of the Fresh Fig Woven Ribbon adds some texture to the card, along with a few loops of Gold Metallic Thread.

So that is my share for the From The Garden theme … it’s certainly got me itching for spring to arrive and some bright blooms of flowers … what about you? Now it’s time to hop on and see what the rest of the crew have to show you – up next is the fab Mikaela at Crafty Oink Pen so click on the button below to hop on!

Happy Crafting and hasta luego,
