Hello and welcome to the this month’s Stampin’ Creative blog hop and this month we are joined by a very good friend to us at the Stampin’ Creative seen as we are lucky enough to have her sister Caro as part of the Design Team. Please give a warm welcome to the lovely Liz from My Elegant Cards.
Now, on with this month’s hop, whether you regularly visit my blog or have popped along from one of the other Stampin’ Creative Crew, then welcome, come in and see what project I have to share this month. We have a theme of Cooking Up a Storm, which certainly got me thinking!
Cooking up a Storm in the Craft Room
I was tempted to nip into the kitchen and whip up something calorifically naughty and delicious, but with Easter around the corner, and having just rejoined Slimming World, I didn’t want any more temptation in the house, so I came up with this!
The Sweet Cupcake stamp set and Cupcake Cutout framelits are perfect when you need something sweet. and I decided to create a cute treat set and card for a friend also on the Slimming World plan.
The little treat pouch is super quick and easy to make with the very versatile Envelope Punch Board. Do let me know if you would like more information, on how to make this, by leaving me a comment below. I used the very lovely Whole Lot of Lovely papers and all you need is a 6″x6″ square so you can make 48 of these from just 1 pack of papers. Imagine if you did cook up a storm in the kitchen and pop some homemade treats inside?
The treat pouch is simply decorated with a cupcake in coordinating Powder Pink and Pool Party and finished off with one of the fun sentiments from the stamp set. Popped inside are 2 of my favourite H-Fi bars, a real treat when you’re on Slimming World! I am going to miss these Fruit and Nut ones now they are gone, on my last 2 boxes and counting!
I even added some extra frosting on the inside and a touch of texture with the coordinating Powder Pink ribbon, before finishing it off with another sentiment from the stamp set in Soft Suede.
So that is my share for the Cooking Up a Storm theme, but before you head out, don’t forget today is the last chance to shop or join during Sale-a-bration! Check the details here. Now it’s time to head out and check for some delicious treats in store with the rest of the Stampin’ Creative Crew.

I love your treat box – especially since it uses so little paper, perfect for craft fairs. And beautifully coordinated with the card. I suppose these are the best cupcakes to have – even if they aren’t that tasty. Liz xx
