Today I am sharing a card I sent to the rest of my Stampin’ Creative friends – it features the perfect sentiment to send to this fabulous bunch of ladies. In fact, it’s a great card for anyone that plays a part in your life to inspire you from a fellow business woman who you admire, to a friend that excels in all that she does. 

The sentiment is from a stamp set called Part of My Story which is free with a £45 order, and features a collection of several sentiments. Here the sentiment is the focal point of the card, punched out with the Pretty Label Punch and layered onto an oval, with a bit of silver metallic thread looped for added texture. 

This card teams up Soft Sea foam … a current favourite of mine, also featured here, with Basic Black. I love the Black and White side of the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, and wanted to add a coordinating ribbon. I spied in my stash the Black and Silver ribbon from the Geared Up garage suite so added a strip of that for a fresh and bold look. 

The soft background to the card, to contradict the strong black lines, is created by an embossed layer of Vellum cardstock using the Layered Leaves embossing folder. So simple and effective – have you ever embossed your Vellum cardstock?
