Big news has arrived and I wanted to share it with you so you can prepare for the changes and understand why they are happening.
On the 3rd June 2019, when our new Annual Catalogue launches, the Paper Trimmer and Bigshot will no longer be available.
Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer
Unfortunately, we have been experiencing supply issues for the trimmer and it’s blades and also experienced some quality issues with the blades too. We have been working with the manufacturer to resolve the issue, but are still unable to fulfil our requirements. Therefore Stampin’ Up! have decided to retire the Paper Trimmer, along with it’s accessories. There will be a replacement tool in time, which will be different, but at present, do not have a date for its launch.
Ordering Blades
The replacement cutting blades will retire with the trimmer. Stampin’ Up! have ordered what would normally fulfil a six months supply to help with the transition. This quantity may deplete quicker than normal upon this news.
Although we can currently order a maximum of 3 sets of trimmer blades, they are currently out of stock. I would encourage you to attempt placing an order and inputting your email address for notification of when they return.
Once the retirement list is officially announced on 15th April, the order limit will increase to six packs per person and will remain at this until the stock is gone. From now until September we will receive intermittent shipments from the supplier. Throughout these months, we anticipate times when the blades will not be orderable.
It is a shame that this amazing trimmer will be leaving our product range, but as a company, Stampin’ Up! need to be able to supply products of the highest quality and meet our customers expectations. I do trust in Stampin’ Up! to find a suitable replacement for us and am super excited to see what that will be.
Die Cutting and Embossing Changes
There are big changes to our die cutting/embossing product line that will give us a better opportunity to support the long term vision of Stampin’ Up!
Our new 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue will not offer a Die Cutting Machine but we will have a new machine in the future. Stampin’ Up! Going forward Stampin’ up! are working directly with a manufacturer, which will give us greater control and potential in the manufacturing process.
The new lines will be manufactured differently; this means the way you use them will also be a little different than how you currently use our dies. Both the new style and old style dies and embossing folders can work with any die cutting & embossing machine (in some cases, adaptations like shims).
With this in mind, you might like to consider any BigShot accessories that you might like to purchase before they leave.
PRICE INCREASES
As with almost everything these days, prices are increasing in the new catalogue for some of the staple items. So if you want to save a few pennies, then you might appreciate the opportunity to stock up ahead of the new catalogue on items like cardstock, Stampin’ Mist, Stampin’ Sponges, Grid paper and Envelopes along with Inks.
