Hello! Today I am happy yo blogging with the fab group of Stamptastic Friends. Our theme this month is Easter and whilst we might not send many Easter cards these days, I always sent one to my nan. So I’m making this in her memory.
The Timeless Tulips stamp set and punch was an obvious choice for me, as it comes with it’s own Happy Easter sentiment, plus the flowers are a nice symbol of spring.
I began by stamping a few of the different tulip bud images in Pool Party ink. I added the the stems and leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink. To add a lift to the front of the card, I stamped one of the petal/leaf images in Pool Party and punched it out to add as an outer petal, lifted on some Dimensionals.
The stamped layer was added on to a piece of So Saffron cardstock for a springtime colour combination. Finished with that sweet sentiment stamped directly on to the cardbase.
I wanted to add a little surprise inside and so created a bouquet of Tulips as a pop up.
After stamping and punch out my trio of Tulips I added them to some fussy cut stems and then adhered then to a card insert which is scored to create this pop up element.
