Are you crafting more in lockdown? Yeah, me too! Cards to send to friends who are self-isolating, or to those friends and family members we are missing during the Covid-19 pandemic. Maybe you’ve never made cards but would like to have a go and fancy creating cards to send during lockdown.

I wanted to make some cards to show how fabulous the digital stamp set it. I came up with this trio created with some of my paper scraps – some of the papers are retired now but I hope the layouts give you some ideas on how you can use up some of your paper scrap.

Creating these cards I kept them as simple as can be so that they were easy to replicate and create as many as I want. Also perfect for beginner cardmakers. All you would need is something to cut the cardstock and patterned papers and some glue. I used some dies on mine but this is totally not necessary – you could simply cut the rectangles.

The one above is perfect for using up those strips of patterned paper you end up with after. It’s called the herringbone technique and I will be showcasing how to do this in my next Facebook Live.

For this last one I added some pretty floral embellishments by fussy cutting some of the papers – this would work with any floral patterned papers you have in your stash. In fact to create these cards you don’t need any stamps or ink. It’s perfect if you haven’t got any craft supplies yet, but want to create some cards to send in lockdown. Time to #sharesunshine
