In Colour Cocktail Cards with the Stampin’ Creative

by | Jun 24, 2021

Today I’m joining in with the Stampin’ Creative blog hop team and we are showcasing In Colours.

What are In Colours?

Stampin’ Up is all about colour coordination, and there are 4 core families – Subtles, Brights, Regals and Neutrals. Every year we also get a some fresh colours to work with – colours that are on trend and give us a fresh palette to work with.

Each In Colour collection has 5 new colours and they stay for 2 years so we always have a 2 sets of 5 different In colour each year – this year we get to play with the 2020-22 and 2021-2023 In Colours.

My In Colour Cocktail

Here are the In Colours I picked for my cards – 3 of the those from the 2021-2023 range.

In Colour Combination

This is the 2 cards I created.

In Colour Cocktail Birthday cards

I used the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set and started by randomly stamping the cocktail glass in Memento Ink on to Basic White cardstock. Then with my Stampin’ Blends coloured the glasses in for some fun cocktails – Strawberry Daiquiri maybe?

TOP TIP : use the dark and light Blends to create the 3D effect of the liquid and the Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to add the definition of the top of the liquid.

The sentiment is stamped in a combination of Memento and Polished Pink to finish it off. I do love all the combinations of sentiments that are possible with this stamp set.

The second card steps it up with a sentiment combined of stamping and a die cut from the coordinating Love You More than dies.

These In Colour Cocktail cards are really simple to create and you can see me make them in real time over on my Facebook page as a crafting live session.

I wonder what other in colour combinations the rest of the Stampin’ Creative members used. Please do go check them out and leave a comment.

Happy crafting and hasta luego,

Ohhh that makes me thirsty! What a fab card! It has a real “retro” feel to it .. and reminds me of “Bewitched” with all those stars! (TV show from my childhood – don’t know if you had/have it there!). Can you believe I have yet to ink up this set?!? I think I need to change that. Thanks for the inspiration!
