Sending a card to a friend, just to say hello, and not for an occasion like a birthday or anniversary, is something I think we can all do more of. I haven’t been very good at this of late, but I’m need to do more of this.
This is perfect for the friendship theme for the Stampin’ Creative blog hop. Come and see the card I created.
This card uses one of the new stamp sets from the Annual Catalogue – Garden Birdhouses. It has some great images you can bring together to create a scene, and some lovely sentiments in a beautiful scripty font.
Creating a card for a friend
- Create a card base with a piece of Thick Basic White – 21 x 14.9cm. Fold in half at 10.5cm.
- Cover with a piece of the Hand Penned Designer Series paper.
- On a piece of Basic White measuring 14.9 x 7cm stamp 2 birdhouses, the grass and the bird in Memento back ink.
- Colour in with Stampin’ blends in Mint Macaron, Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive.
- Stamp the sentiment in Highland Heather ink
- Adhere the coloured in panel to a piece of Basic Black card stock measuring 14.9 x 7.5cm
