I love autumn and the changing colours – it’s when nature’s at its best in my opinion. So it’s perfect that this month the Stampin’ Creative theme is Nature’s Beauty. I decided to create a card with some autumnal inspiration. Let me show you what I created.

The card I created uses the Enjoy the Moment stamp set and features a trio of windows to create little spotlights on the different seed pods. I created a DL sized card in Thick Very Vanilla cardstock.

How to create a window card

To create a trio of window I used the Layering Circle dies – such a useful addition to your craft room. I found the best way to do this was to cut the central one first, then die cut the other 2, so they are all lined up.

Then I placed the window layer over the top of a separate layer of Very Vanilla, using a pencil to mark the placement of the windows. I stamped the 3 different seed pods in Early Espresso ink. I used the blending brushes together with a trio of autumnal colours. The colours I used are Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight to add colour to each window.

The stamped piece of card was layered up onto Soft Suede. The card was finished off with a sentiment from the same stamp added onto the card with Dimensionals and set onto of a strip of the Fine Art ribbon for some texture.

Finally, a flourish of Genial Gems for a bit of bling.

I am really pleased with this style of card and now wondering what other cards I can create with 3 windows. What do you think – will you give it a go?
