A card layout to show off pretty papers

by | Feb 13, 2023

Sometimes we love the papers in our craft room so much we can’t bear to cut them up – yeah I have felt that way too, and know many of my customers do too. What about you?

If you have pretty paper that you are reluctant to use – because it’s just so pretty, what you need is a card layout that lets the paper do the talking. Today I am sharing a card layout that makes the papers the focal point.

The pretty papers I have used are the Fancy Flora papers from the current January to April Mini Catalogue. It is a gorgeous set of papers which depict paint textures in all manner of colours.

The layout is created by cutting 4 panels from the Designer Series paper and positioning them in order with a small gap between each one. I raised each panel up on Dimensionals.

It’s such a fab layout, I got carried away and created several cards with a range of the designs in the Paper pack. Here’s one coordinated with Calypso Coral.

I used coordinating cardstock for each base and the labels for the Sentiment. Both the stamp and label dies are from the Something Fancy bundle -also launched in the Mini Catalogue.

Here’s the other colour ways.

The colourways are Daffodil Delight, Orchid Oasis and Balmy Blue. Each card is finished off with a trio of the Pastel Embellishments.

These cards were all created to share with my wider team – in a team swap we create several of the same and then receive a different card from each person in the swap. I will share the swaps I received later this week, so make sure you come back to check them out.

That’s my share for today.

To receive the measurements to recreate this card, make sure you are signed up to my email list. I shall be sending it out for Friday’s freebie.
