Hi all, I have to admit to being a bit of a Pinterest addict! I can lose whole evenings surfing around pinning ideas to my various boards. It’s an online pinboard which you can pin to from any website and you can follow friends and other creators to see what images they have pinned.
This is a project I spotted on Pinterest and just had to have a go at. It’s using white tiles and Designer Paper to make your own custom coasters.
It’s so simple to do with some fab stuff I discovered called Mod Podge. This acts as a super glue that seals and protects the Paper.
A few layers of that and a finish with some clear lacquer spray and you have fab coasters at a cost effective price. It’s great for using up scraps of designer Paper and with the quality of Stampin’ Up paper there were no issues in the paper tearing or bubbling when the Mod Podge was applied.
Wouldn’t they make a great gift – you could do them in any colour Designer paper to match the decor?
I added a touch of felt underneath to finish them off and ensure they don’t scratch the tables or work surface.
And here it is being put to good use in the craft room!
Had a busy day with my papercraft class today and off to a craft show tomorrow!! What a great crafty weekend!
