Time Flies

by | Nov 14, 2011

Oh my goodness this year has gone so quickly – Baby G is nearly 9 months old and has began to crawl, climb up the furniture and generally cause much mayhem ….. but with much delight! You can see over on my food blog here what we’ve been up to.

With time flying by I cannot believe it’s only 6 weeks till Christmas either and with that in mind I thought it was time to make a start on some gift ideas for the festive season…… do you think I’ve left it a little late?? eek!

I decided to use one of the new Speciality Designer Paper sets called Holly Berry Bouquet which is a lovely set of papers which are great for Christmas but can also be used all year round.

The Speciality Designer Paper sets feature textured papers for some of the designs like the glittery stripes and spots in this pack. Gorgeous! You can order your pack from me for just ÂŁ11.50 for 20 doublesided sheets of berrylicious designs.

I created this cute gift box which would be perfect for some jewellery or even some sweet treats and a matching card.

Once I had assembled the lid I decorated it simply with the Designer Paper and topped it with a strip of taffeta ribbon and a button. The box itself was decorated with the same Designer Paper and then a topper created with the circle and word window punches. Simple but effective.

I created a matching card using the same Chocolate Chip card stock matted up with Wild Wasabi and Real Red. That’s the other great thing about Stampin’ Up – you always have matching card stock and ribbon and embellishments to your papers. It makes it so easy!!

I will also be back later with some Designer Paper shares so you can get your hands on lots of the papers for a fraction of the cost ….

Hasta luego for now,

What do you think about today’s project. Let me know below.
