Wow, what a lovely weekend I’ve had. It all kicked off on Friday night with a Stampin’ Up party with Steph and her lovely ladies. I’ve been to Steph’s
before so was really looking forward to it. There were a few familiar faces but I got to meet some lovely new ones too. We had a great time, a bit of crafting, a bit of a giggle and lots of fun.
I used the Contempo Christmas set
again as it is such a great set together with the invaluable Ornament punch. I showed a technique called inlaid embossing which is really simple but has the wow factor we all like with handmade cards.
The card base is in a festive Cherry Cobbler and is teamed up with Old Olive and Very Vanilla. This type of card is perfect for using up your scraps of Designer Paper too as we punched a bauble from two small bits of Designer Paper and then adhered to a square of Very Vanilla. We then stamped this simple sentiment before running the card through the Big Shot using the Square lattice embossing folder. All the ladies loved the embossing folder and it is easy to see why.
The weekend was finished off we some friends coming to stay, a fabulous homecooked Indian feast and then a lovely family day yesterday.
Did you have a good weekend?
