Friday night, Party Night

by | Sep 22, 2011

Well it’s been a busy week here. Monday I was busy trying to do some of my daytime job whilst having Sky installed into my office and craft room, Tuesday went off to funeral for my great Aunt – she lived to 100 – so it was a real celebration in many ways. Then yesterday was baby group followed by lunch with my Mum as she’s off on her holidays soon so wanted some quality time with me and Grace. Phew …. thank goodness all I have to do today is work, laundry, bake …. oh and wait for Sky to come back to fix the new box!
Anyway, with all the hectic days I haven’t had chance to let you know of the fabulous Stampin’ Up party I had in my home last Friday. I invited a few family and friends round to show them the delights of papercrafting with Stampin’ Up, and they all seemed to really enjoy it …. in fact I think some have been bitten by the cardmaking bug!
I demonstrated a Christmas card (well it’s not too far away, especially if you want to create some handcrafted ones!!) using the Contempo Christmas stamp set. This is just £15.95 for 4 stamps and includes 2 images and 2 sentiments so gives you lots of scope for designs.
The colour combination is Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla, or to you and me the traditional festive combo of red and green, but I love the yummy names of Stampin’ Up colours!
I used the Ornament punch and created a 3d bauble by sticking 3 baubles together. The card was finished with a border of card punched with the Eyelet border and some designer paper from the Patterns Stack and finished off with the Merry Christmas sentiment.

I also made one with the other sentiment – isn’t it such a cute saying.

All the ladies that came along to my party got to create their own handcrafted card and I can assure you that none of them looked the same but all looked really good and much fun and giggles was had by all.
If you want to have a fun evening in with your friends and get to create a handmade card or gift then just give me a call on 07738 562724 to book a party. All hostesses booking a party in October will not only get a copy of the new 2011-2012 Stampin Up Catalogue being launched on 1st October FREE (normal cost £4.95) but an extra special party pack from me, together with any hostess freebies earnt.
