This last month has flown by; can’t believe it’s time once again for the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop. It’s been a whirlwind of events here – birthdays, house viewings and busy with classes, so when we picked our theme I was super happy. This month we are showcasing a “CASE from the Catalogue”. In crafty terms CASE is where you Copy and Share Everything, it’s great to do when time is limited (aka me!) or you have lost that crafting mojo, as all you need to do is take a project you like and you can either copy it straight and simple, or change it up with different colours, stamps or layout.
You may have hopped over from my lovely friend Lesley at Lelly Jelly’s Stamp & Scrap and at the bottom of the post you can click on the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop button to hop to your next destination or see a full list of the blogs below.
So for my CASE the catalogue I have used a growing favourite stamp set of mine, You’ve Got This, and cased the following card from the catalogue.
STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS
- Stamping the large hash style stamp all over a card base created a fab background. On mine I stamped in Pool Party ink onto Pool Party cardstock.
- The flower was stamped in Memento Ink and then coloured in with the new 2015 – 2017 Stampin’ Write markers, using Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush.
- Adding the Burlap ribbon, which has been cut and distressed at the edges, and the partial Paper Lace Doily creates a nice contrast of chunky and dainty. Finished off with one of the 3 sentiments in the You’ve Got This Stamp Set.
I really enjoyed casing a project from the catalogue – after all those projects are sometimes the reason behind our purchases, so why not re-create them hey?
Now it’s time to hop on over to Pip at Queen Pip cards and see what fab project she has cased – just click the button and you’ll be on your way.
Please feel free to leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you.
Hasta luego / see you later
Louise

You hit the nail on the head, Lou, the reason we buy the stamp set is usually down to the project we see in the catalogue, so first thing we should do is make our own version!! Love yours!
Really lovely!
I need to get this beautiful stamp set out and play some more. The background on the pool party looks like a DSP 🙂
utterly gorgeous, …
Oh stop it you! I have been trying to tell myself that I don’t need this set, but for the hashed background alone, I’m still drawn to it and I absolutely love your card. It’s so striking x
Well! Have surprised myself! I’d not have given this stamp a second thought despite loving the background. The watermelon is such a strong colour it makes the flower pop but somehow makes if look ‘soft’ too. Very clever!!!
