Wow … how is it the end of November already and time for the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop? I’m hoping you’re all a little more prepared for Christmas than me as I think I’ll be having a frantic couple of weeks getting things ready. So with perfect timing the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop has a theme of a festive frenzy theme so we can all get festive together!
For my festive frenzy I decided to create some quick and simple Christmas cards – perfect when time is scarce. Plus I opted for a couple of stamp sets that feature in the Annual catalogue – we had a couple of years without Christmas stamps in the annual catalogue and I’m glad they came back as it allows us to purchase festive stamp sets the whole year round …. perfect to get ahead. Must make that happen next year, but for now here’s my frenzy of cards!
STAMPIN’ DELIGHT TIPS & TRICKS
- The first simple card features some simple stamping with the White Christmas Stamp Set and a bit of sparkle from some Metallic Sequins – these are so simple to add to your projects with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.
- On this card the trees are stamped and then given some colour using the Blender Pens. I have used these for ages and sometimes forget to mention to new crafters at my classes how they can be used with any of your Stampin’ Up Classic Ink Pads for a marker pen in any colour – makes your ink pads really versatile and saves you investing in the markers straightaway.
- The card is given a bit of glitter with the 2 way glue pen and some Dazzling Diamonds – a super quick way to add a bit of sparkle.
- The next card is a great way to send a card with lots of detail but using very little cardstock as it is only 2 layers but has lots of things going on. The layer of Cherry Cobbler cardstock has been embossed with the Lucky Stars embossing folder and then punched with the Confetti Stars Border punch for a double whammy of texture.
- A couple of stamped and punched trees with the Festival of Trees Stamp Set – this is a great little set with lots of different tree options and these particular ones are a two-step stamp option. A little sentiment banner and a punched out a star finishes it off.
- I finished off the inside with coordinated stamping – a perfect way to finish off a handmade card!
So that’s my festive frenzy of cards – clean and simple – perfect for when you’re in a frenzy! I hope you like them! Now it’s time to see what the very creative Emma at Coastal Crafter has come up with. Click the image to continue on the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop.

Fabulous card ideas and I love the little stars under the trees x
Fabulous Makes, everyone of them , I too love this set, and you have inspred me to get that out this weekend and have a play, …
Louise, these are great! And you’ve reminded me to get my White Christmas set out to use on this year’s cards too 🙂
Yay – White Christmas – I love that stamp set, and it does get overlooked because it’s in the annual catalogue – but it’s so cute. Really like your cards this month Louise, simple but a lot of fun 🙂 great for making lots of if you want to send out personal cards to your entire address book!
Gorgeous. Louise as always. I dusted off White Christmas myself this week. It makes such beautiful cards and I love how you can create the same scene but change it up with the different elements. Your colour combo is just beautiful.
Not only do I love the White Christmas Stamp Set you have used, but I adore the colour combination that you’ve used. I love colours out of the ordinary and Pear Pizzazz is by far my most favourite Green that Stampin’ Up! currently have. A fantastic array of quick making cards for that mad frenzy of a run up to Christmas … I’m sure that will be me again this year 😉 Thanks for all of the tips xx
