I love being asked to create those special one off cards for celebrations and really enjoyed making this wedding card for a lovely couple. The sister of the bride requested a card to tie in with the theme of the wedding – pink and green, vintage and birdcages! So I got my thinking cap on and this is what I made.
I used a colour combination of Wild Wasabi and Pink Pirouette and a mixture of the Aviary and Apothecary Art stamp sets. The card was designed as a gatefold with the front featuring a Labels framelit lock.
Inside I replicated the design with a personalised Label panel and more birdcages – perfect to house a couple of lovebirds in!
On the central panel I used the gorgeous flower trim from the Seasonal catalogue which was daubed with Pink Pirouette ink. The flourish was from the Tea Shopppe stamp set.
The Bird Builder punch was used to create the hanging branch for this birdcage and decorated with the little flowers from the Itty Bitty punch pack and some adhesive Basic Pearls.
Lastly I created a box for the card to be presented in which was decorated with the crochet trim for more vintage elegance and one of the Apothecary Accent labels.
The sister loved it, so I hope the Bride and Groom did too! I would love to hear what you think too.
