Phew! We made it and it all went ok! This is how I feel about Christmas, how about you? The last few weeks before Christmas were insanely busy with work, events and also trying to get ready for the big day. However, most people got a card, most presents were bought, even though a few were gift wrapped in the last few hours of Christmas Eve, and we sat down to a lovely Christmas dinner with my parents and had all the trimmings with no item forgotten. That in my books is a result!
Get organised with your Christmas Crafting
Now, in the post Christmas haze, I plan to be more organised for Christmas 2018! So here’s to a whole year of Christmas Crafting. What do you reckon? Does this statement below ring true with you too?
It certainly made me chuckle and determined to be more organised! So today I have a simple card that can be mass produced and can be changed to suit whatever colour scheme you want to work with.
A simple background layer featuring the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper which is on the retiring list and only available till 2nd January and whilst stocks last. I love this paper – all black and white and you get 4 each of 6 double-sided designs in 12 x 12 so lots to create with.
The paper lets the detail of the Foil Snowflakes shine through. I love these embellishments and will be sad to see them go on 2nd January too.
Multicolour Snowflakes
The pack comes with 24 snowflakes – 12 Silver and 12 gold, but as shown here – the back of the snowflakes are white and so present a whole new range of options by using the white side to colour them in and create multicolour snowflakes. Blue, Pink, Green or Red … pick a snowflake colour of your choice.
The colour scheme of Black, Red and White is made festive with an accent of Gold – a matt layer for the sentiment in Gold Foil and a little addition of some Gold Ribbon. The sentiment comes from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set.
So that is one card designed ready for Christmas 2018 and I promise to come back with more as we head towards the New Year … now is the perfect time to grab some supplies from the Stampin’ Up online store with many retiring items from the Autumn Winter Catalogue in the Year-end Sale.
Don’t forget to add the Online Shopper Club Code for a small gift from me – DEVNNHBJ.
I’ll be back soon with more creative shares, until then happy holidays!
