Hello. I’m back with the latest edition of the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop and this month it is all about Summer Fun Craft Projects. So if you’ve just arrived here from Mikaela at the Crafty Oink Pen then welcome, come in and have a look!

Despite the weather saying otherwise, it is actually the start of the summer holidays here in the UK and seen as the kids are off school and nursery for 6 weeks I thought it would be fun to make something for them.I am very lucky and my 2 kids love heading out into the outdoors and exploring. We live next to Cannock Chase so have plenty to explore and I made this little Nature Hunt kit for them.

I created some fun little cards using the Layering Squares Framelits with Wild Wasabi cardstock Whisper White,using the layering to create a window. Then it was on to some stamping with a  range of Stampin’ Up! stamp sets and dies and adding the names with the very useful Labeler Alphabet Stamp Set. These were fun to create and Grace enjoyed picking out things we could look for on our next walk.

The case is a simple clear pencil case you can get from many high street stores and I created a backer using Sahara Sand cardstock and using the Large Letter framelits and some Wild Wasabi tree’s from the Foxy Friends Stamp Set. Of course with the Large Letter dies you also have the option of making the Nature Kit personalised.
